The Spirit Fitness SP-4222 Smith Machine is designed for users who want the freedom of barbell training with the added stability and control of a guided bar path.

Its counterbalanced bar is balanced to approximately 2 kg, creating very low starting resistance and making the machine accessible to a wide range of training levels.

The vertical design provides a straightforward movement path and makes it easier for users to position themselves for a variety of exercises. The machine’s adjustable bar stops can be positioned in small increments, providing additional control when setting the desired lifting range.

The SP-4222 is suited to a broad range of free-weight movements, including squats, bench presses, shoulder presses, shrugs and other barbell exercises. Spirit’s current commercial version also incorporates weight-storage horns to keep plates conveniently organised around the training station.
